Proud new owner of a '85 V65 Magna!

I've been obsessed with bikes since I was a kid, and have ridden dirt bikes since the age of 10, but hadn't owned a street bike until this year. Every spring for the last few years I have scoured the want-ads, craigslist, cycle trader, you name it, looking for the perfect bike. Being an audio engineer, and a musician, I don't have a lot of disposable income, so year after year I went without.
It was only last year that I learned of the V65, and shortly thereafter I was in San Diego, CA, visiting my uncle. A client of his had GIVEN him a V65 with 7k miles on it! The bike had sat around for a few years, so he got it up and running, and man was I jealous.
I found myself back in California this year, and was with my uncle again, and he told me he was thinking of selling the bike because he has 2 young kids. I said I would buy it, and what does he say? "Well man, I'll GIVE it to you." That's right.
So, for the cost of shipping it from California, getting the carbs rebuilt, and the fork seals replaced, I am cruising in style.
I love my V65, and I love leaving people in my dust everywhere I go.
