I bought a 84 aspencade at a garage sale for $700.00 in 2008 spent 3 mo. fixing the clutch new tires front forks, and battery. By the time I got ready to ride the snow was falling here in Mi. I lost a friend he passed away the frist of the year.So in talking to his brother my trip was born we started talking how we had never been to Ak. and we had always wanted to go on bikes, my brother was up from Fl. and we talked him into going with us. So skip ahead to July and we set out me from Detroit my brother from Daytona on his Ninja and our friend from San,francisco on a BMW.I met my brother in in SD. and rode west up though Montona into Canada hooked up with our friend in BC.and we road up to AK. after site see there for a while. We caught a ferry down the inside passage down to Vancouver and back to the lower 48.There we said goodbye to our friend and my brother and I set off for Strugs. There for the rally that was a good time but I had to say goodbye to my brother he set off for Fl. and me for Mi. I rode home with one more ferry across lake Mi.and a zip across Mi. HOME .Our trip of a life time took us 10,000 miles 5 ferry rides and one mouth on the road.I hope you enjoyed reading my story. Greg Parham
Editor's Note: Greg, thanks so much for sharing that. My friend Ron in Wilcox passed away several months ago. He never fulfilled his desire to take a long trip to the pacific northwest on his Honda V65. Thanks again.
