FEMALE LAS VEGAS RIDER
(LAS VEGAS, NV)
SAW MY FIRST VALKYRIE ABOUT SIX YEARS AGO AT A WATERING HOLE IN MT SPRINGS, NV. I THOUGHT IT WAS AN AWESOME MONSTER. OWNER CAME OUT AND LET ME SIT ON HER.... I WAS SMITTEN. SEVERAL MONTHS LATER, WHILE ON A RIDE THROUGH RED ROCK CANYON ON MY VSTAR, SAW ANOTHER VALK. AFTER MUCH CONVERSATION , HER OWNER SAID I COULD TAKE HER FOR "A SPIN"......VERY TRUSTING GUY! I WAS SO EXCITED.... I ONLY TOOK HER ABOUT 2 MILES AND RETURNED, VOWING IF I EVER HAD THE CHANCE I WOULD AQUIRE ONE FOR MYSELF. I NOW HAVE 3 VALKYRIES!!! 2 INTERSTATES AND ONE STANDARD!
ALL 1999's, ALL BLACK. ALL VERY VERY NICE. I LET MY HUSBAND RIDE ONE, EVEN THOUGH HE HAS 3 HD's, A NORTON, AND A TRIUMPH, THE VALK SEEMS TO BE HIS BIKE OF CHOICE LATELY TOO!
SHE IS SMOOTH, FAST, QUIET, AND OCCASIONALLY LIKES TO EAT HARLEY DAVIDSONS FOR BREAKFAST. MY ONLY PROBLEM IS I'M 5'5" AND CAN'T FLAT FOOT IT ON HER. TIPPY TOES ARE OKAY. THE BIKES ATTRACT OLD GUYS, OFTEN. ONE OF THE FIRST QUESTIONS THEY USUALLY ASK IS "HOW TALL ARE YOU"? HAHA.
SECOND QUESTION IS "IS THIS YOUR HUSBANDS BIKE"? HAHAHA. I LOVE ALL MY BIG GIRLS, AND SAW A YELLOW AND CREME '99 FOR SALE THE OTHER DAY.......
I'VE GOT TO GET A BIGGER GARAGE.............
Editor's Reply: Dorothy..I think I'm in love. I already love the valkyries so could it be you??? :) Anyway, I know I would love to see a picture of you with your Valkyrie...bet my other readers would too. Regarding your height and not being able to "flatfoot" with the bike, there is a shorter rear shock available through Progressive Shocks that should perfectly fit the bill for you. Thanks for a nice article.
