It was created by a local builder, one of the premier custom bike builders in the West Texas Area. He primarily builds for himself although occasionally he will provide his services if somebody wants something really nice built. He bought this bike when it was virtually brand new and only had about 600 miles on the odometer.
Currently there's about 12300 original miles on the bike so there's a lifetime of riding left on this exquisite machine.
No expenses were spared to make this in my opinion the nicest 1998 Yamaha Royal Star Custom in the country. Probably the nicest Custom Yamaha Royal Star of any year.
All of the billet and chrome just seems to blend right in. Definitely built by a supreme builder who is also a supreme artist.
For those familiar with the renowned Yamaha Royal Star Engine...this V4 water cooled engine is famous for going 150,000-200,000 miles and being virtually indestructible. Albert in his quest for individuality installed a "Pro One 100HP Kit" which includes higher performance cams as well as some tasteful carburetor modifications for more usable horsepower and torque. So this awesome machine doesn't only look strong....IT IS STRONG and it SOUNDS STRONG TOO.
Did you notice the gorgeous wheels on this bike? They are Pro One Wheels with Low Profile Michelin tires. Only the best...The rear tire size is 1.70 which is a bit beefier than a stock Royal Star rear tire but not too big so it won't impair the good handling characteristics of this amazing bike.
The paint is flawless as is every other aspect of this bike. It is a tasteful combination of silver and metallic blue marbleized with graphics. Looks sooooo good and is truly flawless.
The bike has been lowered about 2" with a Baron's lowering kit. The suspension is adjustable.
All lines and cables are covered with braided stainless steel....look amazing.
The handlebars are 16" "ape hangers" and the grips are Billet as you would expect. Notice the chrome brake and clutch handles and please don't forget to notice the golf club mirrors.
The headlight is Chromed Billet and even in the rear of the bike, the rear fender struts are Ball Milled.
The floorboards are Jardine...nice...and even the rear passenger pegs are chrome ribbed.
Also notice the side mount LED plate/brake/running lights combo. The turns signals are LED.
And of course, only the best in the seating dept. too...a Corbin solo saddle.
Everywhere you look you are going to find more of the builder's tasteful quality additions. For example, look at the engine casings. Did you notice the Ball Milled engine accents? Truly a nice touch....Quality...it shows all over the bike.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention the exotic blue lightshow that accents the motor should you really want to standout at night. I wasn't able to take a good picture of this but at least you'll have an idea of how dramatic it looks.
As always, I can be reached at 915-276-1505 in El Paso, TX if you are interested in this bike and have any questions.
