My first yamaha was a 1983 750 midnight virago,,I rode that bike 2 years and got myself a brand new Venture Royal, after a one year overseas ordeal with the UN. after owning the venture for 2 years,I went out and tried the new Harley evolution and changed my bike for a FXR 1986 I toured most of europe with it,,it was a good bike.last fall i stumbled into this garage that was desparately in need of selling this 1998 venture that i test drove! The bike is in totale mint condition, like brand new, so i left and test rode that bike on a cold november day,,I was once again amazed with the powerband of these great machines. My favorite bike is a 650 v strom and the 650kl,,I've alway's been like that `My favorite bikes were owned by other people not myself``Cafe bikes for me are on the top list,My all time favorite has to be my very own 2011 Iron 883 that I've put on 75k. Its one great little bike that i will always keep. My long hauls will be done on my venture and the short hauls will be done on my Iron.I did at one time have an FLH TCU 2008,, the only reason i got rid of that one was because i needed cash flow. I must say a wonderful bike but a little heavy. I find that the venture is an all of its own classic muscle bike that simply amazes me. It's an old school muscle bike you can rely on,, and Yamaha has a great logistics service that sometimes other brands lack. Whatever bike you have the idea is to ride safe so you can ride forever! If see you out there ride safe..... Eric
