My 1997 Ford Mustang Cobra Convertible is the REAL ITEM. This is truly a Cobra SVT (Special Vehicle Team) car, not a customized Mustang made to look like a Cobra SVT. And it has the engine documentation to prove it. It's a rare car but loads of fun to drive and economical in the process.

The 1997 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT Convertible was a limited production car. Only 3088 convertibles were built, making it exclusive for sure but not that rare that you have to be scared to drive and enjoy the car.

It sported an all aluminum high performance 4.6L V8 churning out about 305hp and making it capable of 0-60 in about 5 seconds and a 13.5 second quarter (1/4 mile) time.

They all came with a 5 speed manual transmission to enhance the performance capabilities of the car. The car is tight, nice handling, quick and agile, and totally fun to drive.

You can actually see the plaque in the engine compartment which assigned a number to this limited production motor made for this SVT Cobra convertible on the front of the passenger side valve cover.

The car is comfortable and easy to drive and above all....FUN. Yet it is economical and gets 23-27 mpg on the freeway depending on your cruising speeds. And it has an extremely nice Pioneer Touchscreen Stereo to add to your listening pleasure.

The KBB value of this car in EXCELLENT condition is about $15500. I consider the car to be in GOOD's not perfect but in decent condition for the year.

It was a fun car to have owned and driven. I could stand to have another one
