Imagine!!!! A 1981 Suzuki SP500 With Only 253 Original Miles. Check out the pictures and details below.

Ok, let us discuss the specifics on this amazing 1981 Suzuki SP500 motorcycle and then we'll discuss some of the basic specifications for the Breed, this being the versatile and powerful 1981 Suzuki SP500 Enduro Motorcycle. This motorcycle was purchased brand new on March 1982 from the Campbell Suzuki, Ltd dealership in Whittier, California. I don't know if this dealership still exists but certainly, this is fun stuff. Believe it or not, I have the original bill of sale from the dealership, as well as the Certification of Pre-Delivery as well as a copy of the original Cashier's Check used for the purchase. And of course, I have the original Owner's Manual too. So, I have the complete history of this amazing 1981 Suzuki SP500 that in all honesty should spend the rest of it's long remaining life loafing in a museum. You can do that...store it for prosterity. BUT WHY....When the Road and the Trails are beckoning you to enjoy.

The Miles are original...ONLY 253 at the time of this writing. But it is a blast to ride. The torque and immediate power is incredible yet quite controllable.

Mind you, this amazing machine is not perfect. It wasn't stored perfect and things bumped it and fell on it. There is no scratching or dents in the tank and by the way, it is totally free of rust. However, there is some bending of the trim around the speedometer (see picture) where something fell on it. The chrome peeled off near the ignition switch. The side covers look perfect. The seat looks and feel great too. There is some fading on the rear fender which I will show in a picture and the front fiberglass fender and the rear fender seem to be pointing a bit to the left. I think the bike was probably on its side for awhile and the fenders took on that bend. But again, they are fiberglass and can be bent back if one wants.

I just replaced the rear shocks with Progressive Brand shocks. At the same time, I had the front fork seals replaced. This work was completed on 05/28/07.

The 3 pictures directly above show the new Progressive shocks. The other pictures on this page do not.

This incredible 1981 Suzuki SP500 rides and runs amazingly well. The silky smooth 5 speed transmission linked to the incredible power and torque characteristics of the motor make for an easy time of getting where you want to go.
